I Deserve to Know
Free fibroscans to patients with diagnosed liver diseases across the country.
- Διάρκεια Έργου 2016 - 2024

The “I Deserve to Know” project aimed to provide free fibroscans to patients with diagnosed liver diseases across the country. This initiative was implemented through partnerships with hepatology centers and doctors from public hospitals. It represents a crucial intervention to fill a significant gap in the healthcare system, as fibroscans —despite being a vital diagnostic tool for liver diseases and monitoring liver conditions—is not reimbursed by public health insurance funds and is not available in all medical institutions across the country.
From 2016 to 2024, Promitheas’ certified staff visited hepatology clinics in Athens, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Crete, Corfu, Volos, Veria, Alexandroupolis, Kavala, Ioannina, Samothrace, Lesbos, Samos, Chios, Limnos, Kastoria, and Kos.
In total, over 13,059 fibroscans were performed on citizens with diagnosed liver diseases.
