The information campaign "It works for you!" aimed to raise awareness among the general population about the risk factors for liver cancer, with an emphasis on the need for early screening, especially for people belonging to high-risk groups. This initiative sought to highlight the importance of prevention and early diagnosis to tackle a disease which, despite its increased mortality, has not received the necessary public attention.

The campaign was based on an imaginative TV spot, (HERE), which was the central pillar of the communication strategy. The video was shown through a dedicated website and was supported by a social media campaign, outdoor advertising and the distribution of information material in key locations in each city.

At the same time, as part of the campaign, free liver elastography tests were conducted in selected areas of the country, offering the possibility of early detection of liver damage to general and special population, with a special focus on vulnerable groups and people at increased risk.

The awareness campaign was launched in October 2020 and liver elastography screenings were conducted from September 2021 to December 2024. In total, screenings were implemented in Rhodes, Volos, Veria, Corfu (2 visits), Ioannina, Agrinio and 900 beneficiaries were screened. The screenings were an important prevention tool and patients were linked to medical services, enhancing access to health care for those who need it most.
