NASH Day

International NASH Day
As part of a global awareness and prevention effort, every second Thursday of June has been established as World NASH Day, aiming to raise public awareness about Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH). The goal of this initiative was to promote early diagnosis, highlight risk factors—such as obesity and diabetes—and encourage the adoption of a healthier lifestyle through real-life stories and patient experiences.

The following activities were carried out as part of the project:

  • A video interview was produced featuring an anonymous member of Prometheus, who had been diagnosed with NASH.
  • The interview was based on the patient’s personal experience and highlighted the challenges faced by NASH patients, the lack of information, and the need for prevention and lifestyle changes.
  • The video was created in Greek and translated into English for international outreach.
  • The content was widely disseminated through social media, the Prometheus newsletter, and a press release published on health information websites.
  • The post received over 1,000 views on the organization’s social media platforms.
