ODηγός: Opioid Overdose Awareness and Treatment

In recent years, the rising mortality rate among people who inject drugs in Greece has become a cause for serious concern. The program provided educational materials and information on recognizing and managing overdoses, offering practical guidelines for prevention and intervention. The aim was to mobilize society in the face of a life-threatening issue. When human life is at risk, neutrality is not an option – action is.
More than 39,000 citizens were informed through “ODηγός” about ways to prevent and respond to overdose incidents. The high level of participation highlighted the need for ongoing access to information and confirmed the program’s social significance.
The program was implemented with the support of the City of Athens, within the framework of the SynAthina initiative.
