Pillars of Action

Prevention

Prevention is a core priority for Promitheas, with a focus on critical public health issues such as obesity, cardiovascular diseases, liver conditions, and mental health—with an emphasis on addiction and gender-based violence.

30.000+
people reached through conferences, scientific outreach, and public awareness campaigns on hepatocellular carcinoma and gastrointestinal cancers
25.000+
people informed through field actions, partnerships, and campaigns on naloxone use and overdose prevention
35.000+
people engaged via mass campaigns, testing events, public activities, and outreach on viral hepatitis (HCV/HBV)
15.000+
people informed through in-person outreach, printed materials, and field interventions in correctional facilities and among vulnerable populations

Promitheas places significant emphasis on primary and secondary prevention, designing and implementing programs tailored to the specific needs of diverse population groups. Through mobile units, awareness campaigns, empowerment workshops, and community health initiatives, we reach individuals who might otherwise remain invisible to the system.
Additionally, we develop educational tools and foster collaborations with healthcare professionals, schools, municipalities, and social services to strengthen prevention as a long-term investment in public health.
