World Health Organization
The World Health Organization (WHO) is the leading international agency of the United Nations dedicated to promoting and protecting global public health. Founded in 1948, WHO’s mission is to ensure the highest attainable standard of health for all people, regardless of geographic location, nationality, or social status.

WHO funded and co-organized a three-day Media Training Seminar focused on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).
Achievements
- Trained a core group of 18 journalists from Cyprus, Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, and Bosnia, along with approximately 27 journalists from Greece, through the three-day Media Training Seminar.
- Included Promitheas’ prison-based programs in WHO’s best practices manual for viral hepatitis.
