I Deserve to know Plus II

Πανελλαδικό πρόγραμμα παροχής δωρεάν εξετάσεων ελαστογραφίας ήπατος στην 3η ηλικία
  • Project Duration 2025
The nationwide program “I Deserve to Know Plus II,” which provides free liver elastography tests to elderly patients, is being implemented for a second consecutive year, with the goal of improving the health and quality of life of individuals over the age of 65. The aim of the program is to offer free liver elastography to 600 beneficiaries within 12 months, across 6 remote regions of the country.

This initiative seeks to strengthen prevention and early diagnosis of liver diseases in the elderly population, who are at increased risk of developing chronic illnesses, including certain forms of cancer – such as liver cancer, which, according to the World Health Organization, is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide.

To date, the interventions confirm the need for elderly individuals to have access to specialized examinations that are not widely available in remote areas. The interest of the local population and the active participation of the beneficiaries highlight the value of the program, while the findings from the examinations provide valuable data for public health.
